This tv program was recorded today featuring Bob Henderson of WHOAS, Rob Kessler of the SRD and Lead Investigator of the horse killings, Corporal Dave Heaslip
It was a pretty good discussion. However, check it out for yourself, it airs at 11 pm tonight again and 12:00 noon. tomorrow, May 7th. I won’t state my opinions as of yet. First I’d like to hear from those who watched it.

Sorry I did not get to watch the program I just want to make a few comments . I have had a few discussions with people living in the Sundre area and most of them don’t know that it is illegal to shoot a wild horse in AB . I train horses and take people for rides west of Hwy22 and see wild horses often , and love to see them . I think there needs to be signs on the back roads of the foothills stateing the laws and regulations and penalties for poaching a wild horse . If more people know it is poaching to shoot these horses i think there would be less or hopefully no more shootings. Some people I have talked to say that if the pro wild horse people made a big stink about this there would be more shootings or people lobbying the gov to get rid of them , I think that there should be a big stink because there are more pro horse people than non , and it might get the shooter/s to be more vocal ect. There is 2 herds just a couple miles west of my place and that is 7 km north of Bearbarry. joegill25@hotmail.com

Hi Joe; Bob will give you a call tomorrow. Thanks so much for your input. Doreen

We watched the program & I thought it let people know what the issues are,it is hard to cover too much in a few minutes. It is obvious that if people want to see wild horses in the future there needs to be lots of effort from many people.Ministers &MLAs will make the final desisions with recomendations from staff let them hear from you. Before it,s too late.Keep up the good work.

Something to say?
